Mrs Bell had an old conservatory which was in need of updating. After looking for options online she came across the hup! system and got in touch with her local hup! installer to discuss transforming her conservatory into a modern, light filled, energy efficient extension.

Working with her installer, Mrs Bell settled on a large wraparound design which is double the size of her old conservatory and fills much of the rear wall space of her bungalow. The new design features two sets of internal doors that lead through to the kitchen and the lounge of Mrs Bell’s home. This clever design means that her hup! extension can be open plan to the rest of her home, or made private if needed by closing the internal bi-fold doors. Linking to the garden, Mrs Bell’s hup! has a set of bi-fold doors and a large expanse of windows, meaning she can enjoy views of her garden and easily access it during the summer months. The tiled roof features five full length glazed panels to ensure that the new room below is flooded with heaps of natural light and from the inside, they add the wow factor.
Despite her build taking place during a heatwave, Mrs Bell found that the interior was already beautifully cool thanks to hup!’s incredible energy efficiency – in fact hup! is an astonishing 5 times more energy efficient than the average UK home! She was also delighted and amazed that the large new structure was watertight in just 3 days.
Commenting about her hup! conservatory transformation project, Mrs Bell said: “I have recently replaced my old conservatory which was poor and needed replacing. I’m very pleased – it’s absolutely beautiful. I found hup! to be very quick and easy, all in all I’m really pleased, it’s the best thing I ever did!
“I’m so glad I went for the hup! system because of everything about it really, it’s beautifully done. There’s so much to it and yet everything was so quick and easy. I love the open plan – it’s amazing. I can actually open the whole house up and walk through it as if there were no walls and then I can close the doors and make it as private as I want.
“It’s amazing and I would definitely recommend hup! to anyone, I’ve never seen anything like it. Whichever way you look at it – from inside or outside or coming towards it – it’s wonderful.”
Vernon and his family had an old conservatory which was nearly 20 years old and had many issues. They also found that the doors that separated the conservatory from their home made it feel like an ‘add on’, rather than being a part of their home, and so they decided to look for a replacement.
Homeowners Dale & Tracy had an old conservatory which over the years had become a dumping ground as it was difficult to regulate the temperature. They decided to transform the conservatory and extend it into a large extension that would have multiple uses.
Lucy Russell lives in a 1930’s semi-detached property in Burnley, Lancashire, which the previous owner had lived in for 40 years. She bought the house as a complete renovation project, working through every room to transform it into a contemporary home.
The Paul family live in a detached house in Hampshire which had an old conservatory with a polycarbonate roof. As Mrs Paul put it, the old conservatory was “a complete waste of space.”
